Qualifications

• Five or more years of dedicated data engineering experience.
• Experience with Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing is required.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud).
• Experience building semantic layers and structuring data for AI/LLM or NLP use cases.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; dbt familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, streaming, and event-driven data movement.
• Serves as a core developer for the Snowflake platform and supports performance and data modeling.
• Architects transformation pipelines delivering high-quality inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Designs semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 NLP interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD practices for safe, decentralized data product building.
• Provides direct mentorship to one data engineer and guides data analysts in engineering practices.
• Drives adoption of dbt and evaluates AWS/Azure data tools to optimize data flow.
