Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Senior Data Engineer in Texas to design and maintain scalable data pipelines across on-premises and cloud environments. You’ll work as a core Snowflake developer, optimize data modeling, and enable AI‑driven insights with dbt and semantic layers.

You will coach a data engineer and collaborate with analysts, driving CI/CD best practices and cloud tool integrations to improve data flow and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of dedicated data engineering experience building production-grade pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven movement.
• Core developer for Snowflake platform; support performance, modeling, and storage structures.
• Architect transformation pipelines delivering high-quality inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Develop semantic layers and metadata models for Self-Service 2.0 NLP interfaces.
• Establish reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD practices for cross‑functional teams.
