Job summary

International is pursuing a Senior Data Engineer & Data Scientist – Commercial Intelligence to build scalable data products and actionable intelligence for Retail Sales Management. You will own end-to-end pipelines, data modeling, ML model development, and integration into dealer and sales workflows.

The role demands hands-on expertise in data engineering, data science, and influencing product direction, with heavy collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years in data engineering/analytics or statistics.
• At least 2 years of lead experience.
• Master's degree and 5+ years in data engineering/analytics or statistics, with at least 2 years lead experience.
• At least 12 years of data engineering/analytics experience with lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products supporting RSM and broader commercial intelligence capabilities.
• Integrate, normalize, and model customer, prospect, dealer, vehicle, sales, service, parts, CRM, and external data.
• Develop robust identity resolution, entity matching, deduplication, normalization, lineage, and data quality across complex datasets.
• Build ML models for lead scoring, opportunity identification, customer segmentation, propensity, and next-best-action recommendations.
• Translate complex commercial data into actionable intelligence embedded into dealer and sales workflows.
• Partner with Product, Sales, Commercial, UX, Data, and Engineering teams to turn business problems into scalable data solutions.
• Design reusable data models, semantic structures, and ontology concepts for customers, prospects, vehicles, dealers, opportunities, and sales activity.
• Define and monitor data quality and model performance to ensure trustworthiness of intelligence.
• Prototype and evaluate AI/ML approaches, including generative AI and LLM-based capabilities.
• Establish engineering and data-science practices covering testing, observability, governance, versioning, CI/CD, and production deployment.
• Own what you build, including production readiness and incident response.
• Serve as a senior technical leader within the RSM product team and mentor others.
• Communicate complex findings and decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
