Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a Software Engineer, Commercial Intelligence and Analytics to build high-impact analytical systems for Sales and Client Services in Ventura, CA. You will own the engineering lifecycle of intelligence systems from requirements through deployment, using SQL, Python, Snowflake, Tableau, and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of analytics engineering or data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Proficiency in Python for building production data pipelines.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and architectures.
• Experience using AI/LLM tools responsibly and iterating on insights.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain production systems surfacing revenue performance, portfolio health, renewal dynamics, client opportunity, and service risk for internal teams.
• Design, build, and operate proactive insight pipelines and production-ready outputs.
• Collaborate with Business Technology and Revenue Operations to integrate intelligence into dashboards and workflows.
• Develop tools, signals, and automated deliverables to prioritize effort and identify risks and opportunities.
• Build durable, production-grade data assets and pipelines with well-documented logic.
