Job summary

Pandora is seeking a Senior Staff Data Engineer to join SiriusXM’s AdsWizz data products team. You will design and maintain backend data services and reporting systems at scale, driving data onboarding across SXM Media services.

You will mentor engineers, lead architecture discussions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data pipelines and APIs with a focus on quality and ownership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in Python or Java.
• 7+ years designing, building, and managing data pipelines using Spark, BigQuery, AWS EMR, and GCP Cloud Analytics.
• 7+ years crafting REST API based microservices across cloud platforms (ideally AWS).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and BigQuery.
• Familiarity with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
• Hands-on with containers: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with messaging/streaming: Kafka or Pub/Sub.
• Proficiency with collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro or Lucidchart.
• Bachelor’s Degree in CS/Math and legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance reporting APIs and data pipelines.
• Lead architecture discussions for ad measurement, revenue, and addressability data.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable data products.
• Work with Product to clarify project scope and requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive project ownership and quality.
• Coordinate production deployments with Cloud Infra and Incident Management teams.
