Job summary

SiriusXM is seeking a Senior Staff Data Engineer to join the AdsWizz data products and reporting systems at scale. You will design and deploy high-performance data pipelines, collaborate across engineering and product teams, and own backend services and data platforms.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead architecture discussions, and ensure reliable production deployments with observability tooling. The role requires deep experience in Python or Java, Spark, BigQuery, and cloud platforms like

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in Python or Java.
• 7+ years designing, building, and managing data pipelines with Spark, BigQuery, AWS EMR, and GCP.
• 7+ years crafting REST APIs and scalable microservices across cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and BigQuery.
• Strong observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead large projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance, reliable reporting APIs and data pipelines.
• Lead architecture discussions with ad measurement and revenue data teams.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering teams in a joint development process.
• Guide product scope by giving clear feedback on requirements.
• Ensure flawless production deployments with the Ops and Incident teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence.
