Job summary

Suncoast Credit Union seeks a Senior Data Engineer based in Florida to design, build, and optimize data infrastructures. You will develop ETL pipelines, manage data ingestion from multiple sources, and implement data models that support analytics and reporting for business users.

You will work with Azure Data Factory, SQL Server and related data tools, ensuring data quality, governance and timely data delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science, mathematics or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience making data usable to the end users in a complex data environment.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS and related data tooling.
• Proficiency with Azure (5 years) and Azure Data Factory (5 years).
• Experience designing data structures for production environments.
• Ability to prioritize multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and knowledge of credit union products, policies, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Builds systems and infrastructures that collect and process data according to company needs and goals.
• Builds, evolves and scales out infrastructure to ingest, process and extract meaning out data.
• Designs, develops, and implements statistical models for classification and information extraction.
• Leverages existing data infrastructure to fulfill data-related requests and perform data housekeeping and normalization.
• Analyzes data to spot anomalies, trends and correlations.
• Designs NLP software modules.
• Collaborates with business counterparts to define data requirements and update requirements templates.
• Transforms business requirements into appropriate schemas and data models.
• Ensures design efficiency to minimize data refresh lags.
• Deploys data architectures per manager standards.
• Implements data platforms and governance solutions.
• Uses Azure Data Factory to create pipelines for data movement and transformation.
• Mentors teammates and stays informed on current trends and compliance training.
