Job summary

Suncoast Credit Union is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, evaluate, and test data infrastructures. This role leads the ingestion of data and develops scalable pipelines to deliver meaningful insights.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in data environments, strong SQL/Azure experience, and knowledge of data warehousing, Delta Lakes, and Lakehouse architectures. Remote in Florida with full-time responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years making data usable in a complex data environment.
• 7+ years with SQL Server, SSRS/SSAS/SSIS and T-SQL.
• Azure Data Factory and related Azure data services experience.
• 2+ years designing production data structures.
• Strong analytical, communication, and regulatory knowledge.
• Experience with Delta Lakes and Lakehouse architecture.

Responsibilities

• Builds data systems and infrastructures to meet business needs.
• Develops scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Designs models for classification and information extraction.
• Performs data cleansing, normalization, and governance tasks.
• Analyzes data for trends and anomalies across datasets.
• Implements NLP software modules and data solutions.
• Collaborates with business to define data requirements and schemas.
• Ensures timely data delivery and reduces refresh lags.
• Mentors teammates and stays current with trends and regulations.
