Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a data engineer to lead moderately complex ETL projects from design through completion, test ETL workflows, and ensure data quality across core systems. You will collaborate with data scientists to optimize pipelines and contribute to data modeling and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 72 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderately complex projects from design through completion.
• Test and execute ETL processes on standard data sets.
• Assist data troubleshooting and resolution affecting extract delivery.
• Ensure data quality and alignment with core systems transaction results.
• Perform data validation and unit testing for model usability.
• Support data architecture development and optimize data pipelines for large data sets.
• Review data analysis and mapping logic; identify recurring defects and resolve.
• Communicate analytical findings via reports, briefings, and data visualizations.
• Telecommuting permitted with 10% domestic travel.
