Job summary

OneOncology is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to join our growing data platform team on a full-time basis. The role supports a scalable, cloud-based BI platform across oncology practices, with opportunities to influence data models and pipelines.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with SQL, Python, Spark, Delta, and Azure Data Factory, and will collaborate with IT and analytics teams to deliver robust data solutions in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on SQL development.
• 8+ years in relational and non-relational DB design and optimization.
• 5+ years with Python in scalable data platforms.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta tables; lakehouse architectures.
• ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory or equivalent.
• Cloud deployment on Azure; data security and cost optimization.
• OO Design principles and software engineering best practices.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data processes for BI platform expansion.
• Leverage cloud tech (Azure, Databricks) to build large-scale data solutions.
• Translate business needs into technical deliverables and ensure quality.
• Collaborate with IT and analytics teams; maintain robust data pipelines.
• Mentor team members and stay current with industry standards.
