Job summary

NinjaOne is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Analytics Platform and Data Science team, building pipelines and data foundations that illuminate product health, adoption, and performance. You’ll transform raw data into clean, usable datasets for data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders across the Product organization.

You’ll collaborate with Product and Engineering, design ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, dbt, and AWS, and craft dashboards in Tableau to reveal trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT or equivalent experience preferred.
• 7+ years of software development with strong data engineering focus.
• Expertise in Python and SQL.
• Experience building ETL pipelines and large-scale data systems.
• Strong experience with Databricks, dbt, and AWS data services; Unity Catalog is a plus.
• Comfortable with structured and unstructured data and streaming data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive line of sight into product health, adoption, and usage analytics by building data foundations.
• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines with Databricks, dbt, and AWS that source data from multiple systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists to prepare structured and unstructured data for modeling.
• Transform raw data into clean, well-structured datasets and support feature engineering.
• Develop pipelines for product telemetry and streaming data; translate complexity into usable datasets.
• Automate and optimize data workflows to improve efficiency in data collection and processing.
• Create dashboards and reports in Tableau to reveal key data points to stakeholders.
