Job summary

Regal Cinemas is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures across on-prem and cloud sources. You will own end-to-end data flows, from ingestion to governed warehouse models, provisioning infrastructure as code.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering, strong SQL, dbt, and Python skills, plus hands-on cloud data warehouse and orchestration experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineer/Analytics Engineer roles
• Strong SQL and relational DB experience (on-prem/cloud)
• Hands-on with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake)
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, and warehousing
• Programming experience (Python) and testing/CI practices
• Experience with dbt and Python-based ingestion frameworks
• Cloud platforms and orchestration tools (Azure, Airflow)
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform) and version control
• Data governance, security (RBAC, masking, PII handling)
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines
• Build SQL-based transformation models (dbt) and incremental strategies
• Architect data models and warehouse schemas
• Provision warehouse infrastructure as code
• Collaborate with business units to gather data requirements
• Optimize performance, scalability, and cost
