Job summary

Regal Cinemas, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Knoxville with hybrid work options. You will design robust data pipelines, implement SQL-based transformations with dbt, and build scalable data models and warehouse infrastructure.

You will collaborate with enterprise units, ensure data quality, and drive governance and CI/CD practices across data workflows. Strong SQL, Python, and cloud skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in data engineering/analytics engineering roles.
• Strong SQL skills across relational sources and cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
• Proficiency with Python and data ingestion frameworks (e.g., Fivetran, Airbyte).
• Experience with CI/CD for data workflows and IaC tooling (Terraform).
• Knowledge of RBAC, data governance, and privacy/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Build SQL-based transformations and incremental processing in dbt.
• Architect data models and dimensional/aggregate schemas.
• Manage warehouse infrastructure using IaC and cloud services.
• Collaborate with business units to define data requirements.
• Optimize data systems for performance, scalability and cost.
• Enforce data quality with automated tests and reconciliation.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and governance controls.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices.
