Job summary

Paramount Streaming, a division within Paramount Global, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own the full data lifecycle from ingestion to modeling and visualization.

You will build data marts spanning operational, advertising, and telemetry data to power analytics and decision-making. The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, expert SQL, and strong Python and cloud warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical field and 5+ years in data engineering.
• Expert SQL skills with performance tuning on large datasets.
• Proficient in Python for data processing and pipelines.
• Experience with cloud warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks).
• Hands-on with JSON, Parquet and data formats.
• Experience with dbt or equivalent transformation framework.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and own data marts spanning operational, advertising, and telemetry data.
• Ingest and process large-volume event data from client apps and platforms.
• Clean, harmonize, and integrate data across systems with different schemas.
• Stitch identity and sessions across events to enable analytics.
• Troubleshoot data incidents end-to-end and drive fixes.
• Develop visualizations and dashboards with analysts and stakeholders.
• Establish data quality standards with monitoring and SLAs.
• Document datasets, lineage, and business logic for self-service.
• Mentor engineers and analysts on SQL, modeling, and pipelines.
