Job summary

enGen is seeking a senior data engineer to join the technical team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and storage solutions across multiple platforms. You will ensure data quality, integrity, and secure movement of data while collaborating with analysts, engineers, and product teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in ETL, data warehousing, and cloud services, and is comfortable guiding junior engineers while delivering scalable data solutions

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in scalable systems.
• 5 years of experience in a data engineering, ETL development, or data management role.
• 5 years of experience in SQL and with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• 5 years of experience in data warehousing concepts and with data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data processes for data movement and transformation across systems.
• Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data warehouses for BI and analytics.
• Collaborate with IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Monitor production schedules, provide progress updates, and report issues to leads.
• Implement and manage data governance for quality, integrity, and compliance.
• Collaborate on data security measures including access controls, encryption, masking.
• Mentor junior data engineers as needed.
• Perform data analysis to support decision-making.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
