Job summary

enGen is seeking a senior data engineer to join a technical team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the organization’s data infrastructure, ensuring reliable movement, transformation, and storage of data across platforms.

You will collaborate with data professionals, analysts, and engineers to build scalable pipelines, enforce data quality and governance, implement security measures, and mentor junior engineers while adopting new technologies and design patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/DS or related field.
• 5 years in data engineering or ETL roles.
• 5 years with SQL and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• 5 years in data warehousing (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data processes and solutions across systems.
• Develop data models, databases, and data warehouses for BI/analytics.
• Collaborate with IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements.
• Monitor production schedules, report issues, and update lead developers.
• Implement data governance, ensuring quality, integrity, and compliance.
• Collaborate on data security measures including access controls and masking.
• Mentor associate and intermediate data engineers as needed.
• Perform data analysis to provide cross-departmental insights.
• Stay current with trends and emerging data engineering technologies.
