Job summary

enGen is seeking a senior data engineer to help design, develop, and maintain our data infrastructure. You will ensure reliable movement, transformation, and storage of data across platforms while collaborating with data professionals, analysts, and engineers to build scalable solutions.

The role requires strong experience in data warehousing, SQL, and ETL, with a track record of delivering robust data pipelines.

Qualifications

5 years in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable systems.
5 years in data engineering, ETL development, or data management.
5 years in SQL and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
5 years in data warehousing concepts and Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data processes for data movement and transformation.
Develop data models, databases, and data warehouses for BI and analytics.
Collaborate with IT, product, analytics and business teams to gather requirements.
Monitor progress against production schedule and report issues to leads.
Implement data governance, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate on data security measures including access controls, encryption, masking.
Mentor junior data engineers as needed.
Perform data analysis to support decision-making across departments.
Stay updated with industry trends and new data technologies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
