Job summary

enGen seeks a senior data engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and warehouses ensuring reliable data flow across systems. You will collaborate with IT, analytics, and product teams to meet business needs, implement governance, and advance data security practices.

The role requires strong SQL skills, experience with cloud data platforms, and mentoring of junior engineers. You will work across multiple teams to enable data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/IS/DS/CE or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering, ETL, or data management.
• 5+ years SQL and database tech experience (MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB).
• 5+ years in data warehousing concepts and Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data processes for efficient data movement across systems.
• Develop data models, databases, and warehouses to support BI and analytics.
• Collaborate with IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements.
• Monitor production schedule, report progress, and escalate issues.
• Implement data governance for quality, integrity, and compliance.
• Collaborate on data security measures including access controls and masking.
• Mentor junior to intermediate data engineers as needed.
• Perform data analysis to support decision-making across departments.
• Stay current with industry trends and propose new tools/practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
