Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking an experienced Data Engineer in Livonia, MI, to lead analytics initiatives and build enterprise-scale Power BI models and BigQuery pipelines. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver high-value insights, optimize data transformations, and enforce BI governance.

The role emphasizes semantic modeling, performance tuning, and CI/CD for BI assets, with a hybrid onsite work arrangement in a senior data engineering capacity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Business Intelligence experience with focus on Power BI and enterprise reporting.
• Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing queries in Google BigQuery.
• Experience designing enterprise semantic models using star/snowflake schemas and managing BI assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics initiatives and establish best practices for querying and transforming large BigQuery datasets.
• Develop reusable DAX measures, M-query transformations, and aggregation tables for scalable reports.
• Manage Power BI Service workspaces, deployment pipelines, gateways, and refresh schedules.
