Job summary

Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Data Engineer to own the design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of data domains and pipelines with a focus on reliability and observability.

You will analyze complex data problems, build batch and streaming pipelines with quality controls, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with partner teams in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with Spark, Flink, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, lakehouse formats.
• Focus on data quality and observability.

Responsibilities

• Own design, delivery, operation, and improvement of data domains and pipelines.
• Conduct detailed analysis to resolve data engineering problems.
• Build batch and streaming pipelines with data contracts, quality controls, lineage, and observability.
• Explain designs to engineers and data consumers to ensure shared understanding.
• Provide technical guidance and training to associate and intermediate engineers.
• Operate data products independently and seek guidance for governance decisions.
