Job summary

enGen is seeking a senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data infrastructure, ensuring reliable data flow across platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers, driving data quality and governance initiatives.

The role requires strong SQL skills, experience with data warehousing, and familiarity with cloud data services. Office- or remote-based option available, with focus on scalable, maintainable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering, ETL development, or data management.
• 5 years of SQL experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• 5 years in data warehousing concepts and with data warehouse solutions (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience with data governance, security, and quality practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data processes for efficient data movement across systems.
• Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data warehouses for BI/analytics.
• Collaborate with IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements.
• Monitor production schedules and report issues to lead developers.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and regulatory compliance across platforms.
• Contribute to data security measures including access controls and encryption.
• Mentor junior data engineers and support team development.
• Perform data analysis to provide actionable insights for decisions.
• Stay updated on data engineering trends and emerging technologies.
