Nansen.ai is seeking a senior data engineer to design and operate data infrastructures powering our on-chain analytics platform. You will collaborate with data and ML engineers to deploy scalable pipelines, maintain data quality, and drive observability across terabytes of streaming and batch data.

The role emphasizes full-stack data responsibilities, deep SQL/Python expertise, and a distributed, async work environment. Remote with potential for in-person onboarding and team retreats is offered.

Qualifications

• Shipped and scaled high-performance data systems in production.
• Hands-on experience with dbt, ClickHouse, and Postgres.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; capable of end-to-end data stack.
• Excellent written communication for async, remote team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale data pipelines and infrastructure in ClickHouse, Postgres, Python, and dbt.
• Run the pipelines behind 500M+ labeled addresses, moving terabytes of streaming and batch data every day.
• Partner with crypto researchers, software engineers, and product to shape how data gets modeled, surfaced, and productized.
• Own data quality, reliability, and observability end-to-end.
• Mentor other data engineers and raise the technical bar across the team.
• Use AI tools and agents to move faster and cut the busywork out of your day.
