Maverik Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to shape how data moves, connects, and supports decisions across the organization. You will build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and models while hands-on with SQL/T-SQL, data warehousing, and enterprise data.

This role offers ownership of meaningful data engineering work and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Based in Salt Lake City with a hybrid schedule (four days in office, one remote day per week), you’ll partner with

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong SQL proficiency (MS SQL/T-SQL, MySQL) and stored procedures
• Ability to collaborate with analysts, developers, and business users to implement data integration requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data infrastructures and pipelines
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI analysts, developers, PMO, and business users on data integration requirements
• Write complex SQL stored procedures for large-scale databases
• Develop API processes to pull third-party data using Python
• Optimize data warehouse environment for efficient access and reporting
• Address query and job performance bottlenecks
• Implement security measures to protect data and ensure privacy compliance
• Troubleshoot production issues to meet SLAs
