CVS Health is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and implement data pipelines powering analytics and data science workloads.

You will model the Core Data Domain and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. This full-time role in Illinois offers a comprehensive benefits package, bonus eligibility, and the opportunity to collaborate with data scientists, analysts and product owners to deliver reliable data assets for BI and ML.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and complex queries.
• Experience in Python, ETL pipelines.
• Experience deploying data pipelines in cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Knowledge of data governance best practices in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and product owners.

Responsibilities

• Data Modeling & Architecture to support analytics, reporting, and ML requirements.
• Data Pipeline Development to ingest, process, and transform large datasets from multiple sources.
• Performance optimization for data queries and costs.
• Data Quality & Governance: establish and enforce data quality standards and security policies.
• Data Integration & Transformation: collaborate with data scientists and analysts for BI and ML readiness.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: create docs for pipelines, mentor juniors.
