Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a senior data stewardship leader to define a multi-year vision for data governance and data quality across a global data ecosystem. You will partner with executive leadership to embed compliance and stewardship into data products from day one.

You will mentor engineers, influence product strategy, and shape the tooling and standards for real-time and AI-driven data platforms, including the use of Spark, S3, and Iceberg in a scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of industry experience leading large-scale data initiatives.
• Experience with data governance and data quality programs.
• Ability to influence product and business strategy using data integrity.
• Proven track record in a complex, high-volume data environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect data ecosystems to support batch, real-time, and AI-driven needs.
• Define best practices, tooling, and culture for autonomous data quality.
• Lead cross-functional policy stewardship with Infosec, Legal, and Privacy.
• Mentor senior engineers and foster data excellence across teams.
