Qualifications

• 5+ years data governance, data management, analytics engineering, or data platform experience (required)
• 3+ years administering or configuring cloud-based data platforms on AWS (required)
• 3+ years Databricks experience, including Unity Catalog and Delta Lake (required)
• 3+ years developing or maintaining enterprise data dictionaries, metadata, data catalogs, or related governance (required)
• 1+ years using AI/GenAI-enabled tools like Databricks Genie (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise data dictionary, metadata, lineage, and governance definitions; maintain documentation and standards.
• Configure and secure Databricks workspace, Unity Catalog, IAM, and AWS resources; manage provisioning and access control.
• Leverage AI-enabled tooling to improve data discovery, analytics, and self-service access.
• Build and automate data pipelines and transformations in Databricks using SQL, Python, and Delta Lake; implement data quality controls.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across stakeholders; evolve governance practices as the platform grows.
• Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
