Job summary

Optum in Raleigh is seeking a Sr Data Engineer within OH Care Delivery Technology's VBC Interoperability team to lead data integrity, roster management, and CMS risk/quality care gap tooling across Epic instances.

You will design and deploy EHR integration solutions, collaborate with Epic teams, and develop dashboards and automated workflows to support care delivery, quality reporting, and risk management across delegated populations.

Qualifications

2+ years in a healthcare environment working with stakeholders and technical teams
2+ years of Epic experience with Healthy Planet, Clarity, Caboodle and/or SQL
Hands-on data integration and Epic data ingestion experience
Experience with enterprise AI tools, automated workflows, or intelligent systems

Responsibilities

Establish relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams to enable success
Validate member attribution, roster management, and feed of care gaps across Epic platforms
Design and execute EHR development tasks and environment strategy to support integration goals
Coordinate with Epic teams to understand end-to-end clinical workflows and proposed integrations
Prepare documentation including BRDs, project plans, and data flow diagrams
Develop measurements to detect internal problems before outages or data quality issues
