Job summary

Eon seeks an experienced Integration Engineer (Epic Integration Specialist) to design, develop, and maintain deep Epic EHR integrations and data pipelines. You’ll work on HL7, FHIR, and Epic APIs, manage Epic Vendor Services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

The role emphasizes real-time data exchange, regulatory compliance, and cloud-based deployment, with opportunities to contribute to enterprise-level patient data workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in healthcare system integrations focusing on Epic platform integration (Epic Bridges, Care Everywhere, Epic on FHIR)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Proficient in .NET (C#) development
• Experience deploying integrations in AWS cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain deep Epic EHR integrations for real-time data exchange and workflow interoperability
• Implement and optimize HL7, FHIR, and Epic APIs across client environments
• Manage Epic Vendor Services, including configuring apps in Epic App Market and coordinating with TS teams
• Collaborate with product, development, and QA to meet complex integration requirements
• Build and manage APIs, Epic Interconnect, and middleware for secure data transfer between systems and Eon platforms
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues to maximize uptime and performance
• Monitor and improve scalability of Epic and multi-EHR integrations
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and data privacy
• Document integration workflows and vendor service mappings
• Apply ETL principles to transform Epic-derived data for analytics platforms
