Job summary

Toyota Motor North America is seeking Senior Data Engineers to join the Digital Innovations team within Supply Chain at our Plano, TX office. You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and collaborate with product, planning, and operations to deliver data-driven solutions.

You will apply modern technologies like Python, Databricks, Airflow, and AWS, ensure data quality, security, and performance, and contribute to cutting-edge analytics and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data architecture and data integration.
• 5+ years building end-to-end data pipelines for analytics.
• 3+ years ETL with Python & SQL.
• Experience with cloud-based big data: AWS EMR, S3, Redshift.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement data engineering solutions aligned with architectural standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, Databricks, Airflow.
• Implement ETL to move data from enterprise sources to product datastores.
• Collaborate with Business Product Owners to refine requirements.
• Apply data quality and validation techniques to ensure accuracy.
• Troubleshoot data issues to keep projects on track.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions.
• Ensure security, performance, scalability, and system integrations.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate pipeline development, testing, and review.
• Prototype and experiment to quickly test ideas and learnings.
• Engage with planners, logistics, and operations to reflect real workflows.
• Introduce new tools and emerging tech to the team’s practice.
