Job summary

Travelers Data Engineering team is building and operating scalable data pipelines to enable analytics across the enterprise. You will translate stories found in data into actionable insights, leveraging a range of data programming techniques and cloud-native platforms.

The role emphasizes design and deployment of production-grade data solutions, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a focus on data governance and quality. Strong communication and leadership are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
• Eight years of related data engineering experience.
• Experience designing and building scalable, cloud-native data pipelines using AWS and/or Databricks.
• Hands-on experience with analytics pipelines and dbt.
• Production-grade, multi-agent AI applications design and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build and operationalize complex data solutions and conduct data quality improvements.
• Design complex data solutions and assess value of data sources.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver data products and educate end users.
• Test data movement, transformation code, and data components.
• Handle data governance, security, and quality.
