Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to deliver high‑quality data solutions in a fast‑paced, agile environment. You will design and implement data pipelines, integrate data across on‑prem and cloud environments, and support migrations to the cloud with cutting‑edge technology.

The role requires 4+ years in SQL and relational databases, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), on‑prem warehousing, and coding in SQL, Python or PySpark.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working with SQL and relational database management systems.
• 2+ years of experience in Cloud Data Engineering Platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake etc.
• 2+ years of experience in on-prem Data Engineering Platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata etc.
• Programming and modifying code in languages like SQL, Python, and PySpark to support and implement Cloud based and on-prem data warehousing services.
• Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting data issues
• Hands-on experience with various performance improvement techniques
• Willingness to identify and implement process improvements, and best practices as well as ability to take ownership to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with healthcare data and healthcare insurance feeds is a plus
