Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to deliver high-quality data solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will design and implement data pipelines, both on-prem and cloud-based, supporting migrations and ongoing data warehousing needs across payer data feeds.

You will partner with engineering, analytics, data science and product teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models and reliable data delivery, ensuring quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working with SQL and relational database management systems.
• 2+ years of experience in Cloud Data Engineering Platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake etc.
• 2+ years of experience in on-prem Data Engineering Platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata etc.
• Programming and modifying code in languages like SQL, Python, and PySpark to support and implement Cloud based and on-prem data warehousing services.
• Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting data issues.
• Willingness to identify and implement process improvements, and best practices as well as ability to take ownership to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality modern data solutions in collaboration with engineering, analysts, data scientists, and product teams in an agile environment.
• Design, integrate and implement on-premise data solutions and support migrations to the cloud.
• Process payer files into the Data Warehouse.
