Transamerica is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate data infrastructure that powers enterprise analytics across the company. You will work with data scientists, engineers, and product owners in an agile setting to deliver reliable data pipelines and APIs for real-time and batch processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years in data engineering, data analytics, data warehousing or BI.
• 3+ years building big data and real-time streaming architectures in cloud/on-prem.
• Experience with Linux, DevOps, CI/CD, and data pipelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with data scientists, analytics teams, and product owners in an agile environment.
• Architect, build, and support the operation of Cloud and On-Premises enterprise data infrastructure and tools.
• Design robust, reusable, and scalable data-driven solutions and data pipeline frameworks for ingestion, processing and delivery of data.
• Build data APIs and data delivery services to support analytical models and ML applications.
• Assist in selection and integration of data tools, frameworks, and applications to expand platform capabilities.
• Manage master data, reference data, metadata, data quality and lineage.
