Transamerica is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and support data platforms for enterprise analytics and decision making. You will work with engineering, data science, and product teams in an agile setting to build robust data pipelines across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, engineering or a related technical field.
• 4+ years in data engineering, data analytics, warehousing, BI, or data integration.
• 3 years building big data and real-time streaming architectures on-prem and cloud.
• 2 years with Linux operations and shell scripting.
• 2 years implementing DevOps/CI-CD.
• SQL expertise for profiling, analysis, extraction.
• Familiarity with data science techniques and frameworks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, analytics, and product owners in Agile.
• Architect and support cloud and on-prem data infrastructure and tools.
• Design scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time streaming data.
• Build data APIs and data delivery services for operational and ML workloads.
• Assist in selecting data tools and frameworks to expand capabilities.
• Implement best practices for master data, metadata, quality, and lineage.
