Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data processing architectures that transform structured and unstructured data into enterprise-wide insights.

You will work across stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver scalable ETL/ELT solutions and data products. The role emphasizes data quality, governance, and modernization with cloud-based platforms, CI/CD practices, and strong collaboration skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Data Engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data modeling, query optimization, and large-scale data processing.
• Strong experience with Python for data engineering, automation, and pipeline development.
• Experience designing and maintaining enterprise-scale ETL/ELT solutions.
• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and engineering best practices.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes supporting enterprise data and analytics needs.
• Build and optimize data models, curated datasets, and data products for reporting, operational analytics, and advanced analytical use cases.
• Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Establish and promote best practices for data quality, testing, monitoring, documentation, lineage, and governance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues while ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability of data platforms.
• Contribute to data platform modernization initiatives, including cloud-based architectures and engineering automation.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning.
• Mentor and support other engineers while helping drive engineering excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
