Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and deploy scalable analytics solutions and data models on cloud platforms for a major retail client. You will translate business requirements into production-ready solutions with the engineering team.

Lead analytics on Azure or Google Cloud, build pipelines with PySpark, Scala and SQL, manage Airflow workflows, and enable reporting with Power BI or Looker Studio. This remote role may involve occasional in-person interviews.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on data engineering or analytics engineering experience.
• Strong experience with PySpark, Scala, SQL and Python.
• Experience building Airflow pipelines and cloud-based analytics.
• Hands-on with Power BI or Looker Studio.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of analytics solutions and data models on cloud platforms.
• Analyse requirements and lead technical discussions with stakeholders.
• Build data pipelines using industry standards with unit testing.
• Ensure features are tested, released and deployed to production.
• Implement monitoring solutions aligned with best practices.
• Document designs and guide developers on specifications.
