Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Senior Engineer to join the LS Digital team, focusing on developing architecture, transformations, analyses, and visualizations for W&B carbon data. You will partner with Carbon engineering and manufacturing to map digital use cases and drive a project roadmap.

You will craft code in Databricks to transform and visualize data, supporting RCCA investigations and governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience in aircraft W&B engineering with knowledge of C-C manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Partners with Carbon engineering and Carbon manufacturing teams to identify digital use cases and develop a project roadmap.
• Develops code within Databricks to transform, analyze, and visualize carbon data to support RCCA investigations and other use cases
• Acts as a carbon data steward helping the Collins Data Quality and Governance teams develop rulesets for data governance
• Partners with the other LS Digital teams to build or leverage lifecycle data applications, the digital thread, digital design processes, and other W&B data analytics methods
• Responsible for identifying data gaps and leveraging CORE processes and tools to identify opportunities for CI where possible
• Attends daily tag-ups and participates in the Agile project management process using tools like Jira, Confluence, and others as needed
