Job summary

PetSmart is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to design, develop, and deploy BI solutions. You will lead ETL/ELT processes, collaborate with architects and engineers, and ensure data quality for analytics across multiple sources using MicroStrategy, Snowflake, and other tools.

The role emphasizes BI reporting, data warehousing concepts, and partnership with stakeholders to drive business outcomes. Hybrid work model with four days in the office and one flexible remote day.

Qualifications

• Design and deploy end-to-end BI solutions using MicroStrategy/Tableau and data modelling for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architecture & engineering teams to create technical design documents.
• Apply BI/data warehousing concepts and terminology.
• Build strong relationships with internal/external partners.
• Own design, build, test, and deployment of BI reporting/analytics solutions.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Python-based frameworks.
• Promote development best practices and contribute to roadmap strategy.
• Work in Agile with defined timelines and deliverables.
• Partner with business teams and vendors to implement solutions.
