PetSmart is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to design, develop, and deploy BI solutions. You will lead ETL/ELT processes, collaborate with architects and engineers, and ensure data quality for analytics across multiple sources using MicroStrategy, Snowflake, and other tools.
The role emphasizes BI reporting, data warehousing concepts, and partnership with stakeholders to drive business outcomes. Hybrid work model with four days in the office and one flexible remote day.

Collaborative Work Environment

In a standard work week, associates may work up to one remote “flex day” (with leader approval). PetSmart LLC seeks a full-time Senior Data Engineer based in Phoenix, AZ. The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for creating sustainable reporting, analytic, and data solutions to meet business needs, create business value, and drive outcomes. This position designs, develops, and implements Business Intelligence (BI) solutions by utilizing our enterprise technologies and architecture.
Tools and technologies utilized in this position include SQL scripting (Netezza, SQL Server, and Snowflake); Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) / Agile development to plan and organize work activities for team execution; and enterprise technologies and architecture, including MicroStrategy, Denodo, Alteryx, Snowflake, and Big Data.
Must also have three (3) years of experience with designing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from multiple sources (APIs, flat files, RDBMS, Web) using ETL/ELT and Python-based frameworks. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Experience must have been acquired after completion of the Bachelor’s Degree program. Apply online at https://careers.petsmart.com.
