Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior BI Engineer based in Germany to design and evolve BI solutions that turn data into actionable insights. You will own semantic models, KPIs, and intuitive dashboards, collaborating with business and data teams to promote self‑service analytics in a remote‑first environment.

You will partner with stakeholders to translate reporting needs, build dashboards in Metabase, optimize SQL queries, and establish reporting standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BI, Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Advanced SQL skills with large datasets.
• Experience building dashboards/reports with Metabase or similar BI platform.
• Experience with Amazon Redshift and relational databases.
• Strong understanding of dimensional data modelling and semantic layer design.
• Ability to define metrics, KPIs, reporting frameworks, and data standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable analytical solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Metabase or comparable BI platforms.
• Define, document, and maintain business metrics, KPIs, reporting standards, and shared definitions.
• Develop and optimise advanced SQL queries for reporting and analytical use cases.
• Design semantic data models and reporting datasets for self‑service analytics.
• Validate data accuracy and consistency across dashboards, reports, and datasets.
• Investigate data discrepancies and collaborate with Data Engineers to drive resolution.
