Job summary

KeHE Distributors, LLC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own complex data pipelines, drive system design, and mentor engineers within a distributed team. You will collaborate with product and design to deliver scalable solutions, leveraging AWS and modern analytics tools.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong programming, observability, and a product mindset to align technical work with business impact.

Qualifications

5+ years of data engineering with SQL, Python, Spark
Deep knowledge of data architecture, governance, and integration best practices
Experience with MLOps, analytics platforms, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Ability to set technical vision, influence architecture, and mentor senior engineers
Product mindset linking technical decisions to business outcomes

Responsibilities

Design and implement complex software features and systems that are scalable, maintainable, and well-tested.
Own end-to-end technical solutions from design to deployment and operation.
Lead design discussions and guide engineering decisions.
Collaborate with product, design, QA to translate requirements into effective solutions.
Use logs and metrics to inform decisions and improve performance and reliability.
Mentor engineers and help onboard new team members.
Continuously improve engineering practices and adopt new technologies.
