KeHE Distributors, an employee-owned distributor of natural and organic products, seeks a Senior DEA Engineer in Naperville, IL. You will own complex technical problems end-to-end, mentor others, and shape system design across APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, cloud platforms, and strong testing/performance skills. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions and ensure observability and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering, SQL, Python, Spark, and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deep knowledge of data architecture, modeling, governance, and integration.
• Experience with MLOps, analytics platforms, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Ability to set technical vision and mentor senior engineers.
• Product-minded with ability to connect decisions to business outcomes.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, software engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex software features and systems, scalable and well-tested.
• Own technical solutions end-to-end from design to deployment and support.
• Lead technical design discussions and guide engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering to translate requirements.
• Use logs and metrics to inform decisions and improve performance.
• Mentor engineers, onboard new team members, grow engineering capability.
• Continuously improve engineering practices and stay current with tech.
