Job summary

Merkle Italia is seeking a Data Engineer (Manager and/or Senior) to own the data supply chain powering analytics and AI for global clients. You will onboard multi-source data via Adverity, model in Trifacta, and land quality datasets in Databricks with Unity Catalog governance.

Based in the Greater Detroit area, or within the continental United States, you will collaborate with Analytics, Media, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver trusted, AI-ready datasets across bronze/silver/gold

Qualifications

• 4-6+ years experience as a Data Engineer building scalable pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IS; graduate degree preferred.
• Hands-on Adverity onboarding and Data Refinery pipeline work.
• Proven experience with Trifacta and Databricks (Unity Catalog).
• Strong SQL and Python; knowledge of dbt and GitHub in a team
• Bonus: advertising, marketing, or digital media experience.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and normalize multi-source data via Adverity into Data Refinery.
• Ingest, model, and reconcile DSP data against CM360 impressions and spend.
• Develop data transformations in Trifacta for clean, analytics-ready data.
• Govern data assets in Databricks Unity Catalog and manage lineage.
• Transform data with SQL/PySpark; extend medallion architecture.
• Design data quality checks and automated monitoring in Databricks.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business leads on datasets.
• Contribute to platform roadmap and reusable transformation patterns.
• Prepare certified datasets for Power BI reporting and consumption.
