Job summary

Bank of America in New York seeks a data engineer to build AI-ready data platforms and production-grade pipelines. You will design end-to-end data lakes, work with product owners, data scientists, and partners to move AI solutions into production, and set standards for scalable, reusable data architectures.

Candidates should have 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, Python, Spark, Airflow, and experience delivering data and AI in large organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience building and operating production-grade data pipelines and platforms.
• Advanced SQL expertise with large-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in Python and Spark with OO design.

Responsibilities

• Build the data foundation for AI through end-to-end pipelines and Data Lake architecture using Python, Spark, SQL and ETL practices.
• Enable AI products by collaborating with Product Owners, Data Scientists and business partners to productionize GenAI solutions.
• Define platform standards for data and AI deployment, focusing on reusability, performance, and cost.
• Engineer production-grade, scalable pipelines with robust ETL/ELT practices.
• Own the data-to-insight lifecycle and ensure insights reach stakeholders.
• Champion data governance and quality across projects.
• Drive projects from idea to production in a fast-paced enterprise setting.
• Maintain a customer-first mindset in delivering data solutions.
