Huxley is partnering with a leading investment management firm to hire a Senior Data Engineer in San Francisco. You will design and scale enterprise data platforms, build cloud-based data pipelines, and lead Snowflake architecture while collaborating with senior stakeholders.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, greenfield modernization, and AI-enabled capabilities within a transformational technology program. Hybrid work is available in a major U.S. hub.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data engineering experience in complex environments.
• Deep expertise with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance optimization, and platform architecture.
• Strong SQL and modern data engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building data platforms in Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
• Proficiency with Python and modern engineering practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with senior leaders.
• Experience operating in collaborative, fast-paced environments undergoing technology transformation.

Senior Data Engineer

Our client is one of the world's largest privately held investment management firms, overseeing hundreds of billions in assets and investing heavily in a firm-wide technology transformation.

Historically reliant on legacy vendor platforms, the organization is now building modern, in-house technology capabilities from the ground up. This includes cloud migration, data platform modernization, AI enablement, and the development of next-generation investment and business applications. With a recently appointed CTO driving the vision, there is significant executive sponsorship and investment behind the technology roadmap.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and scale enterprise data platforms that support critical investment and business workflows
• Lead the development of modern data pipelines and data products within a cloud-based ecosystem

• Partner closely with engineering, data, business, and investment stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions

What We're Looking For
