Renaissance Learning North America is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance our data delivery platform within the Platform Extracts team. You will own end-to-end Ed-Fi API delivery, optimize AWS-backed file transfers, and support both internal and customer-facing interfaces, ensuring robust data quality and scalable tooling across partner reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in cloud-based data delivery and integration.
• Advanced SQL and experience with modern ELT tooling (dbt).
• Experience designing, operating, and optimizing cloud-based ETL pipelines delivering data to external endpoints and file systems.
• Experience delivering data in industry standard specifications and maintaining data contracts.
• Experience building efficient internal tooling for customer-facing teams.
• Experience with data quality tooling, error reporting, or observability for data pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with product and customer-facing teams.
• Ability to lead and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Ed-Fi Assessment Outcomes API delivery system, including data transformation and pipeline execution.
• Optimize AWS-based file delivery infrastructure.
• Support and enhance internal and customer-facing UIs.
• Contribute to Ed-Fi certification compliance: maintain field mappings and test certifications.
• Design and maintain custom data transformation models for partnership reporting requirements.
• Build and improve data quality tooling so customers can trust the data they receive.
• Mentor teammates and help establish engineering patterns for the data delivery domain.
