Job summary

Trility Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Data Consultant to modernize an Azure Synapse data platform and migrate prioritized workloads to Microsoft Fabric. You’ll collaborate with client engineers to refine Fabric architecture, build reusable ingestion patterns, and transition data into a modern lakehouse.

This remote W2 role requires hands‑on PySpark/Spark SQL, metadata‑driven pipelines, and GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Azure Data Services and data platforms.
• Hands-on Fabric production experience.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and ingestion frameworks.
• SQL and T‑SQL proficiency.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps CI/CD.
• Familiarity with data governance and catalog concepts.
• Experience migrating data from Azure Synapse to Fabric.
• Experience with Claude Code for AI-assisted development.
• Experience REST APIs and various data sources.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine Microsoft Fabric architecture and ingestion patterns.
• Design a metadata‑driven ingestion framework for config-based onboarding.
• Migrate data sources and workloads from Azure Synapse to Fabric.
• Develop and orchestrate Fabric pipelines and Spark notebooks.
• Analyze Synapse pipelines and translate logic to Fabric.
• Build data validation and reconciliation processes.
• Analyze loading requirements and CDC patterns.
• Implement Git-based CI/CD and environment promotion.
• Leverage Claude Code to define specs and review AI-generated code.
• Evaluate data dictionary, metadata, and lineage requirements.
• Apply data engineering best practices for performance, testing, security.
