Job summary

Trility Consulting LLC is seeking a Senior Data Consultant to modernize an Azure Synapse data platform and migrate workloads to Microsoft Fabric. The role is remote W2 with flexible hours, supporting data pipelines, validation, and automated CI/CD workflows.

You will collaborate with client engineers and Trility consultants to implement metadata-driven ingestion, build scalable lakehouse pipelines, and ensure migration quality using Claude Code and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with Azure Data Services: Fabric, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse.
• Hands-on Fabric in production: lakehouses, pipelines, notebooks, capacity mgmt.
• Proven ETL/ELT pipelines and reusable ingestion frameworks.
• Metadata-driven ingestion framework with configuration-based onboarding.
• Spark notebooks and data transformation with PySpark/Spark SQL.
• Strong SQL skills including T-SQL. Familiar with data migrations.
• Experience migrating Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric.
• Git-based CI/CD using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on Claude Code for AI-assisted development.
• Familiar with data governance, lineage, Purview or similar.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine Fabric architecture and ingestion patterns.
• Design metadata-driven ingestion framework for easy onboarding.
• Migrate data sources/workloads from Azure Synapse to Fabric.
• Develop Fabric data pipelines and PySpark notebooks.
• Translate Synapse logic into Fabric solutions and pipelines.
• Build data validation and reconciliation for migration accuracy.
• Implement Git-based CI/CD for Fabric artifacts (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
• Leverage Claude Code to define specs and review AI-generated code.
• Assess data dictionary, metadata, and lineage requirements.
• Apply best practices for performance, testing, monitoring, security.
