Job summary

Trility Consulting LLC, a remote-enabled data modernization leader, seeks a Senior Data Consultant to modernize an Azure Synapse data platform and migrate workloads to Microsoft Fabric. You will design metadata-driven ingestion, build scalable data pipelines with PySpark, and implement CI/CD workflows for Fabric artifacts.

You will work with client engineers and Claude Code within a remote, W2 engagement, contributing to scalable data architectures across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Azure Data Services and modern data platforms.
• Hands-on Fabric experience in production environments with lakehouses.
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines and ingestion frameworks.
• Experience with PySpark, Spark SQL, and Spark notebooks.
• Experience Git-based CI/CD workflows and data migration validation.
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata, and catalog concepts.
• Experience migrating data from Azure Synapse to Fabric.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine Microsoft Fabric architecture and ingestion patterns.
• Design a metadata-driven ingestion framework for onboarding new tables.
• Migrate data from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop Fabric data pipelines and notebooks using PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Build data validation and reconciliation processes between Synapse and Fabric.
• Establish Git-based CI/CD and environment promotion for Fabric artifacts.
• Leverage Claude Code to guide AI-assisted development and review generated code.
• Evaluate data dictionary, metadata, and lineage requirements.
