Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Data Center Technician to identify opportunities to replace or upgrade server components, validate cabling, and ensure connectivity. The role involves monitoring a ticketing system, mentoring others, and implementing technical solutions in a 24/7 on-site environment.

Candidates should have experience with server/storage/network hardware, Linux/Unix CLI, RAID, and strong communication skills.

• Shift schedule that rotates. Includes nights, weekends and holidays.
• IT Hardware Concepts knowledge (RAID, Linux/Unix, CLI)
• Good computer skills
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Able to work 10-12 hour shifts
• Any experience with mainstream ticketing systems is a plus
• Willing to travel as required
• Client experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities for replacement or upgrade of server components.
• Validates cabling and ensures network environment build and connectivity is established.
• Monitors and assigns work in ticketing environment; mentors technicians and implements technical solutions.
• Trains advance fix and repair techniques aligned with SOPs and MOPs for Data Center Change Control processes.
• Acts as a technical liaison to identify and resolve resiliency, reliability, and availability risks.
